I see some comments about Hotel recommendations. There are a lot of really good Hotels in Sarande, like Saranda International, Hotel Butrint, Glow etc. The same type of hotels cost 10-15 times more in Corfu, just 15 km away. Also, from Sarande to Ksamil there are tens of virgin beaches like Plazhi Pasqyra, Shpella e Pellumbave, Gjiri i Hartes, Plazhi Pulbardha etc. These are all really beautiful beaches with crystal-clear blue waters, and breathtaking views.

Spent two weeks in the Balkans in April and Albania was our favorite. Berat is very unique and beautiful, with narrow cobblestone roads and terrific food real cheap. Gorgeous drive from Skopje. Locals had a festival one night we were there, and all were so friendly and happy.
Albanians seem to live life with lots of joy, and it was infectious! Can’t wait to go back.

Hello, i red the article, its all real and true , we visit Albania every year .

The article talks a lot about the South , however the north its as good as the south , like Shengjin , Velipoja and so on.
If you would visit North you have the chance to go for a day trip in the mountains which offer a breathtaking experience.

The food and hospitality are one of the best , o , and prices.

Enjoy your time in Albania , you will not bee disappointed.

Welcome to Albania guys you will love it! As for hotels and restaurants is better to surprise your self! Some other places I would recommend is Berat and Vlora Have a great cheap holiday
